The Bureau for workers' Activities of the International Labour Office (ILO ACTRAV) in collaboration with the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) will be organising a regional trade union workshop on 'Transition from Informal Economy to Formal Economy : The Role of Trade Unions.' The workshop will constitute part of  implementing ACTRAV Global Product GLO276 on 'Strong and Representative Workers' Organisations.' The global approach and plan will contribute to the implementation of the ILO Agenda and in particular to Outcome 6: Formalisation of the Informal Economy and the ILO-wide follow-up action on Recommendation No. 204 for the period 2016 - 2022.
The workshop shall bring together 20 delegates from: Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Sudan.
